Lost & Fought is a hobby project that changes quickly. Newest first. Found a bug or have an idea? Use the feedback button in the game, or open the form here.
v0.7 · Armies that move like armies
6 November 2026, afternoon
- Infantry walks with a real four-step cycle, leans into a sprint and settles when it stops. Idle soldiers breathe and glance over their shoulder.
- The Outrider bounces on its pogo spring. Gloop creatures hop, splat, scurry or waddle, and leave a slime trail.
- Tanks and carts judder, puff dust and exhaust and leave fading track marks. The Street Sweeper leaves clean stripes.
- Walkers and titans stomp, with a dust ring on every footfall. The biggest ones shake the camera a little.
- Flyers bank into turns.
- The Mop Runner leaves wet dabs, the Floor Polisher a shine.
v0.6 · Controls, after your feedback
6 November 2026, afternoon
- Clicks are forgiving now. Moving the mouse a little while clicking no longer turns an order into a camera pan, and a quick click on a unit no longer becomes an empty selection box.
- Edge panning works on all four sides. The side panel and the news ticker used to cover the right and bottom edges.
- Online: attacking an enemy that just slipped into the fog now sends your units marching there instead of silently dropping the order.
- A visible “Enter = chat” hint in online matches.
v0.5 · Open to the public
6 November 2026, midday
- The game moved to lostandfought.com and is open to everyone. No password, no account.
- In-game chat for online matches: press Enter. Player names are coloured by seat, in the lobby and in the match.
- Shift + right-click queues waypoints. Selected units show their route as a dotted line.
- “.” selects idle units (press again to visit them one by one). Shift + F2–F4 saves a camera view, F2–F4 jumps back.
- Left-click on empty ground always deselects. The HQ rally point moved to the right mouse button, like every other order.
- Right-drag pans the map.
- F1 (or ?) opens a hotkey sheet in the in-game menu.
- A feedback form on the start screen, in the in-game menu and on the end screen. Every form is read.
- New pages: How to play, Factions, Maps, About.
v0.4 · Every Lot gets its own sound
6 November 2026, morning
- A different soundtrack genre for each map, synthesised live in the browser: a pastoral with birdsong for Umbrella Flats, noir jazz for the Bermuda Desk, a war-drum march for Laundromat Canyon, cold minimalism that tips into a muzak waltz on the Frozen Aisle, industrial metal for the Car Park of the Damned.
- Hand-drawn terrain with contours, varied props and small ambient life on every map.
- A new emblem and app icons.
- Hover a faction card to see its hero’s battle cry.
- Music off now really means off.
v0.3 · Online
6 November 2026, early
- Online multiplayer: open a claim room, send the invite link, play. The server runs the battle, so nobody can lift the fog of war.
- Public lobbies and Quick Join. Up to 9 seats, humans and computers mixed.
- New Lot 99: The Lost Luggage Carousel, a baggage hall for nine claimants.
- Battalions: Shift (or Ctrl) + 1–9 forms one, 1–9 calls it up, twice jumps there.
- In-game menu (Esc) with separate music and sound switches.
v0.2 · The Custodians
5 November 2026, night
- Third faction: the Custodians, the Bureau’s own cleaning crew, with mops, wet floors and suction.
- Maps for 2 to 4 claimants with hazards: coffee lakes, ice, gates. Four new Lots.
- First balance pass for all three factions.
v0.1 · First claim filed
5 November 2026
- Knights of the Extended Warranty versus the Gloop, against the computer.
- 90s pixel art, tanks, walkers and titans, flyers with anti-air rules.
- Lost Property falls from the sky: grand pianos, vending machines, 47 garden gnomes. Big pieces can be garrisoned.
- Veterancy, rally points, an intro crawl and a ceremonial end screen with medals.
- Synthesised sound effects and music, no audio files.
